Hometown girl Tamara Skulstad was a fan favourite in women's gymnastics at the B.C. Games.

On the first day of competition on Friday, the Mission girl and member of the Twisters Gymnastics Club of Abbotsford won the vault and bars events, and that propelled her to the top rank all-around.

Behind her were two Delta gymnasts from a strong Fraser-River Delta team.

Second-place all-around finisher Ella Rogers took first on beam and tied for second on floor, while Sophie Anderson posted solid finishes in each event to finish third.
