Mission’s Hannah Dirksen is once again a CCAA All-Canadian.

The fourth-year member of the UFV Cascades golf team received the honour for the third consecutive year, capping off another excellent year for her in Pacwest competition.

Dirksen won the Pacwest overall women’s silver medal, and also picked up a tournament win at the Camosun Invitational tournament earlier this month.

She accepted the honour on Monday night at the CCAA awards banquet in Oshawa, Ont.

Also honoured were Dirksen’s Cascades teammates Daniel Campbell, Ben Whiton and Emery Bardock.

The Cascades were one of two programs, along with the St. Lawrence Lions from Quebec’s RSEQ conference, to put four golfers on this year’s All-Canadian teams. It’s a previously unprecedented feat, dating back to 2012 ,when the CCAA began handing out All-Canadian awards in golf.

Dirksen and her teammates wrap up the season this week, at the CCAA Golf National Championships in Oshawa.

The event kicked off on Tuesday, with the final round and medal presentations occurring on Friday afternoon.

Read next week’s edition of the Mission City Record for details on how Dirksen fared.
