The Mission City Outlaws dropped back-to-back games in a home-and-home against the Delta Ice Hawks last week.

The Outlaws hosted their inter-conference opponent at Mission Leisure Centre on Saturday (Nov. 23), where a second-period comeback wasn’t enough in a 6-2 loss.

Delta opened the scoring just over a minute into the contest with a goal from Rajun Parmar and Marcus Bromhead extended the lead to 2-0 with a shorthanded goal early in the second.

However, the Outlaws showed some resilience with a pair of goals late in the period to tie the game heading into the final frame. AJ Frigon got the Outlaws on the board before assisting Ashton Holbech’s 10th goal of the season just 20 seconds later.

Parmar netted his second of the night in the early stages of the third period and the Ice Hawks overwhelmed the Outlaws with three more goals to clinch a 6-2 win.

Mission had another shot at the Ice Hawks at Ladner Arena on Tuesday (Nov. 26), but Delta outshot the Outlaws 49-17 on their way to a 6-0 win.

Delta’s Miller Bruckshaw earned first star with a pair of goals while Zach Shaughnessy picked up a shutout win with 17 saves.

The losses drop the Outlaws’ record to 7-17-2 on the season, placing the team fifth in the Harold Brittain conference.

Up next, Mission hosts the Richmond Sockeyes at the Leisure Centre on Saturday (Nov. 20) at 6:45 p.m. before a road matchup with the Grandview Steelers on Sunday (Dec. 1).
