The Mission Roadrunners senior varsity football team takes to the gridiron for the first time in 2018 tonight (Friday).
Mission opens its first of two exhibition games in Pitt Meadows against the Marauders, with kick-off set for 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition run continues on Sept. 14, when the Roadrunners travel to Bellingham, Wash. to battle the Meridian Trojans.
The team then opens the AAA regular season on Sept. 21 when the Abbotsford Panthers come to Mission. That game kicks off at 3 p.m. Mission closes its September schedule with a trip to Kelowna to battle the Mount Boucherie Bears on Sept. 28.
The Roadrunners junior varsity football team opened its exhibition schedule on Wednesday against the Robert Bateman Timberwolves, but results from that game were not available at press time. Mission continues the exhibition schedule against the G.W. Graham Grizzlies in Chilliwack on Sept. 13 and then the Mount Douglas Rams in Victoria on Sept. 20.
The juniors open the regular season against the Seaquam Seahawks in North Delta on Sept. 26.
