Mission Skating Club athletes excelled at the Jingle Blades competition in Surrey, which occurred from Nov. 24 to 26.
The following skaters competed at the event:
Star 2 Ladies: Jayda Kinvig-assessed as silver, Katie Marchbank- assessed as merit
Star 3 Ladies: Lily Crondahl- assessed as gold, Jennifer Burns- assessed as silver, Lyla La Hay- assessed as silver, Sophia Smith- assessed as silver
Star 4 Ladies under 13: Chloe Nguyen- assessed as silver and ranked seventh
Star 4 Ladies 13 and over: Kylee Chapman- assessed as silver and ranked sixth
The Mission Skaters will continue to train for their next big competition, the 2018 BC Coast Region Championships held in Chilliwack from Feb. 2 to 4.
The next local event for the Mission Skating Club is the annual Skating Gala to be held the evening of March 10, 2018.
