Mission's Special Olympics BC branch is holding a sign-up night Sept. 10.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at Youth Unlimited (33479 Eighth Ave.), and new athletes and coaches are sought.
Special Olympics BC seeks to provide individuals with intellectual disabilities opportunities to enrich their lives and celebrate personal achievement through positive sport experiences. The organization runs year-round, high-quality sports programs and competitions for more than 4,100 athletes in 55 communities around the province, with the vital assistance of more than 3,200 trained, dedicated volunteers.
