Fraser River Delta Zone 4 had a huge 44-12 win against North West Zone 7 – "The Dragons" – in wheelchair basketball on Saturday morning at Heritage Park Secondary in the BC Winter Games.

Jason Costa led Zone 4 with the most points, showcasing his remarkable speed.

“I thought the game was great, everybody performed well and we were able to work on some of the stuff we will need in the semifinals," said coach Arley McNeney.

Zone 4 moves on to face Zone 3 in the semifinals at 2:30 p.m.

“I thought it was an awesome game by both teams, what I am most impressed about is our group has a goal in concentrating on getting better every game and helping each other improve. For new players of the sport they are really enjoying themselves but they are focused on the little things that make a team better and takes a long time to build that and they are on their way," Zone 7 coach Joe Higgins.

The North West squad will play Prince George for fifth place at 4 p.m. at Heritage Park Secondary.
