Q: When did you get your pet?
A: We got Tundra about 5.5 years ago from a local private rescue here in Abbotsford! She came from the native reserves in the prairies. She will be six soon.
Q: Why did you decide to start the Instagram account?
A: I decided to make an Instagram account for Tundra because my personal page is private and when I started liking other heeler photos I realized people can not see my photos and I assumed my friends were getting sick of seeing so many photos of my dog.
Q: What do you think makes the account so popular?
A: I think my account has grown because not only is Tundra a very cute photogenic dog but we do many fun adventures such as camping, hiking, paddle boarding, snow shoeing and we go on many fun road trips! I have improved my photo skills too which helps. Tundra is a very loved dog with a great personality and I think it shows.
Q: What do you want to achieve with the account?
A: I just want to have fun and enjoy the outdoors with my dog! I have made lots of good friends and relationships on this social media platform and I never knew it would bring so many fun new opportunities for us. I just hope people enjoy our adventures and like to see Tundra living her best life!
Q: What is your favourite part of running the account?
A: My favourite part of running the account is that I get to meet lots of people! Like I previously mentioned we have met a lot of people here who are my friends now. The community on Instagram for dogs is superb; of course there are some people who are not as nice but overall it has been a really positive experience for us. Tundra gets to get out and socialize with other Instagram dogs too and we don’t get judged when we stop to take photos! Haha! I also get to check out all these fun dog items that the average person wouldn’t know about either. I also get to learn about new trails and spots to check out. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy the perks we get too. We have been very blessed with the many opportunities with companies we have been able to participate in!
