Abbotsford’s Afterthoughts restaurant will soon have a new home.

Abbotsford dessert lovers will soon have a new location to enjoy cheesecake, pie and all of the other delicious delectables at the popular Afterthoughts establishment.

The gourmet dessert restaurant recently announced they will be moving locations.

After many years at its South Fraser Way location, Afterthoughts will be arriving soon at the new Central Park Village complex on 3050 Gladwin Road.

Management stated in a Facebook post back in July that it was not an easy decision, but they have simply outgrown the space that is available at the South Fraser Way location.

The move was originally planned to occur at some point this fall, but delays in permits have pushed the opening date of the new location until sometime in November.

Management stated on Facebook that the hope is to open for the first or second week of that month.

Afterthoughts will be joined at the location by Cora, which the Abbotsford News recently revealed will be opening in that area in December.

Afterthoughts offers over 60 baked cheesecakes, 10 unbaked cheesecakes, 10 tall cakes and five pies that change daily. Each dessert is made fresh in store.

The restaurant also offers breakfast and other savoury foods including: muffins, cinnamon buns, scones, cookies, quiche, soup, salads and sandwiches.
