Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery in Abbotsford held a free Family Fishing Day on Saturday.
The event featured a youth fishing derby, a live fish release, door prizes, arts and crafts and food.
The local hatchery, located on Vye Road, is one of six in B.C. owned and operated by the Freshwater Fisheries Society of B.C. (The others are located in Duncan, Summerland, Clearwater, Fort Steele and Vanderhoof.)
