For the third year in a row, Mission’s Lacey Construction was honoured with the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of the Fraser Valley’s Custom Home Builder of the Year Award.

The CHBA Fraser Valley Housing Awards of Excellence took place April 23 and the team at Lacey won the Custom Home Builder of the Year for 2021 – following up the same win for 2020 and 2019!

“This is all possible because of our team,” Erik Lacey said, “our local team, trades, suppliers and most importantly our clients, made this all possible.”

The evening was held at The Hanger at Abbotsford Airport with close to 200 builders and supporters in attendance including Mayors Paul Horn and Henry Braun, along with MLAs Pam Alexis and Dan Coulter and other dignitaries.

According to Lacey, construction has never been more important than now, helping residents recover from unprecedented wildfire and flood events. The BC Construction Association notes that the current value of construction is at $134 billion employing over 170,000 individuals in trades.

Lacey Construction is also celebrating their 23rd anniversary in May after Erik Lacey founded the company in 1999.

This has been a banner year for the team at Lacey being recognized by the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce as the Exceptional Business of the Year, and Community Champion by the BC Builders Code.
