The Mission Environmental Stewardship Society and volunteers from the Stave Falls community held a successful cleanup in late October.

Volunteers cleared more than 1,100 pounds of garbage and litter from Dewdney Trunk Road including a car battery and a dumped mattress.

The cleanup was apart of a fundraiser program through MESS and earned $400 for the new Stave Falls Elementary School PAC.
