Elizabeth’s Wildlife Centre in Abbotsford needs help supporting the services it offers to injured, sick and orphaned wild birds and small mammals.
The centre has launched a GoFundMe campaign, hoping to raise as much as $100,000.
Funding is urgently needed for upgrades to its nursery, rehabilitation enclosures, laundry facilities, sanitation and more.
The site, which has been operating for 33 years, sees more than 500 injured creatures come through its doors each month during peak periods, the campaign states.
“This puts huge pressure on us as a non-profit organization, as we are volunteer-based,” the page states.
The centre was started by Elizabeth Melnick and is the only one of its kind in the Abbotsford area.
