Festival offers full slate of entertainment

Local performers showcase their talents during annual Festival of Trees in Mission

There will be a fun lineup of live entertainment set to perform each day of the fifth annual Festival of Trees being held in Mission at All Saints Church Hall, 33077 Second Ave.

Starting at 3 p.m. Tuesday to Friday (Dec. 5-8) and at 2 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 9), the festival features something for all ages – from dancing to instrumental music to singing.

The official opening at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday features the CanDance Studio dancers. At 7 p.m. that evening, Richard Lepinsky and his Digital Band perform.

On Dec. 6 and 7, at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. respectively, Fred Truman will be playing his accordion.

On the evening of Dec. 7, at 7 p.m., the Mission Arts Council Orchestra will perform.

Dec. 8 will see Rae Dawn singing at 4 p.m., and at 7 p.m. the Mission Ukulele Circle will be playing.

On Dec. 9, Cathy Hardy and her students will perform at 2 p.m. and Note Bené at 3 p.m.

Throughout this event, Band in a Box will showcase the amazing Yamaha Tyros 5 digital workstation with Rick Chadwick singing many of your favourite Christmas songs. Rae Dawn and Fred Truman may also perform at other times.
