One Mission school is offering an alternative to all-day kindergarten classes.
For the 2011/2012 year, all public schools across B.C. will be offering only full day kindergarten. However, the Ministry of Education has granted independent schools, including Mission’s Valley Christian School (VCS), the opportunity to offer half-time kindergarten or full-time kindergarten this September.
The school offers preschool to Grade 9 classes as well as a home school program. This faith-based school provides an innovative, learner-focused environment with strong academics.

Grandparents Day
Valley Christian School is hosting its annual Grandparents’ Day tomorrow (Jan. 21) at North Valley Baptist Church.
Classes will perform special numbers of recitations especially for their grandparents. In addition, there is an opportunity to visit the classrooms and meet the teachers.
Some of the classes will be doing crafts in the classroom with their grandparents.
North Valley is located at 32715 Cherry Ave., and the event begins at 1 p.m.
