Learn about food security Sept. 22

The Mission Farmers' Market La Vida Local event runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Mission Farmers’ Market is hosting La Vida Local Sept. 22, an event geared towards teaching people about food security.

There will be a chef demo using local food, winter gardening seedling giveaway, canning workshop sign-up, how to grow garlic tutorial, food security information booths, plus the regular farmers’ market fare.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mission Library on Second Avenue.
