Local businesses support Harrison Festival Society

Harrison Craft Market begins Aug. 30 at Harrison Memorial Hall

Five local businesses will join artisans and crafters from across B.C. for the Harrison Craft Market during Labour Day weekend.

One-of-a-kind works from Mission include the pyramid power of Harmonic Energy Balance, crochet contemporary apparel by Kaya Kreations, custom design wood furniture by Furniture for Life, fashionable healing earth magnets by Magnetite Jewelry, and whimsical accessories by Wildfire Jewelry.

There will be more than 30 vendors at the market, which is a fundraiser for the Harrison Festival Society. Ten per cent of commission collected on all vendor sales support the society.

"Mission is an artistic gem of the Fraser Valley and we are very pleased to be welcoming a number of unique vendors from that area," said Harrison Festival Society general manager Mel Dunster.

The Harrison Craft Market takes place on Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Aug. 31 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  at the historic Harrison Memorial Hall, 280 Esplanade Rd in Harrison Hot Springs. For more information visit harrisonfestival.com or call 604-796-3664.
