The Mission District Rod and Gun Club is hosting a youth shooting day this Saturday for delegates attending the B.C. Wildlife Fund's (BCWF) annual general meeting.
"The BCWF and the Mission club have an emphasis and mandate to introduce to our youth the hunting and fishing sports,” said Gregg Rogers, the club's director of youth and family affairs and BCWF region 2 director. "Fishing is every bit as important as the shooting skills and the kids will be out sturgeon fishing with Great River Fishing Adventures, also of Mission, during the AGM."
Twenty youth delegates from all over B.C. will be attending the convention, held in Surrey.
