We Group (leadership group) students at Mission’s West Heights Community Elementary School collected items as part of its annual food drive.
The students, with the help of Grade 4 teacher, and We Group coordinator, Ms. Wendy Coulthard, collected almost 500 items of non-perishable food.
All of the food will be donated to the Mission Food Bank.
Principal Mikel Brogan said he is extremely proud of the students and community for coming together and collecting so much food.
“They worked hard and demonstrated many great qualities in making this such a successful endevour for which will have a positive impact in our community.”
