Mission residents are invited to celebrate Earth Day, spring and our community at the sixth annual earth-friendly, zero-waste pot luck dinner at Fraser River Heritage Park on Sunday, April 22.

The Earth Day event begins at 5 p.m. in the shelter at the park and will take place rain or shine.

There is no charge for the event. Everyone attending is asked to bring one dish of food plus their own non-disposable plate, cutlery, mug and napkin. Coffee, tea and water will be provided. No alcohol please.

The event will be hosted by the Mission Be The Change Action Circle, a small group of citizens working towards creating an environmentally and economically sustainable, socially just and spiritually fulfilling human presence on Earth.

Co-hosts are Building Resilience In Mission and the Mission Environmental Stewardship Society.

Bring the kids and join your neighbours in a beautiful setting for fun and food in an earth-friendly celebration that will generate little or no waste. Wear your cheeriest spring colours.
