Mission’s Terry Fox Run raises funds for cancer research

Event took place at Fraser River Heritage Park with multiple racing options for participants

Mission raised over $1,000 for cancer research at the 43rd Annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday (Sept. 17).

The annual run was held in the morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fraser River Heritage Park. The run featured 1 km and 5 km options for participants and t-shirts were on sale during registration.

According to the Mission event’s webpage, the event raised $1,175 of its $1,750 goal as of Monday morning (Sept. 18).

The Terry Fox Run is a country-wide fall tradition with more than 650 communities fundraising for cancer research.
