Plant fundraiser to help furry friends

Money raised in May's Green Thumb plant sale benefits Mission charities

The annual Green Thumb plant sale fundraiser happens over the first and second weekends in May, with event proceeds helping animal charities.

The sale takes place at 32965 Fourth Ave., and features a huge selection of plants, including hanging baskets for only $25, on May 5-6, and 12-13.

The money will go towards helping the Fraser Valley Humane Society, the only cat shelter in Mission; S.A.I.N.T.S rescue (Senior Animals In Need Today Society), which provides new homes for senior animals; and Elizabeth's Wildlife Centre.
