Auditions for Opening Nite Theatre’s production of The Plum Tree will be held Saturday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m.
Two men are needed to play Japanese characters in their 30s to 60s and a Caucasian woman is needed for an age 50-plus role.
The story is set in present day Mission and examines the effects of Canada’s policy towards Japanese-Canadians during the Second World War. The play is written by Mitch Miyagawa and directed by Michael Knight. The Plum Tree will run May 6-29, excluding the Victoria Day long weekend.
