Dracula’s in the house

Jim Anderson as Dr. Seward and Susan Dearing as Lucy in the Opening Nite Theatre production of The Death of Dracula.

This October, put aside the teenage vampires and settle in for a meeting with the Master. Canadian Warren Graves' adaptation of the traditional Dracula story has all the familiar elements: the mysterious and alluring Count Dracula, the strangely ailing Lucy Murray, and the tenacious and worried Professor Abraham von Helsing.

The Death of Dracula runs Oct. 14-30 Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. In the run up to Halloween, this classic story is the perfect entertainment. Tickets are only $12, and are available at Murdoch's BookShoppe, 33078 First Ave., in Mission, or at the door. Opening Nite Theatre is at 33223-33227 Railway Ave., in Mission.
