Becky’s New Car
The Clarke Theatre and the Arts Club Theatre present Becky’s New Car Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. at the Clarke Theatre.
The show, written by Steven Dietz and directed by Rachel Ditor, plays for just one night in Mission as part of a tour throughout the Lower Mainland.
Becky is married. Check. With one son, in college. Check, check. Living a perfectly ordinary life. Check. But she wants more.
When an unexpected offer for just that — from a dashing millionaire, no less — falls into her lap, Becky embarks on a comic and poignant joyride that may change everything forever.
Starring Deborah Williams (Mom’s the Word), Jackson Davies (The Beachcombers, The Producers) and Cavan Cunningham (Fitzy Fitzgerald from TV’s Corner Gas), this production brings together some of Vancouver’s best talents.
Tickets for this delightful comic production are available by calling 1-877-299-1644.
Snowed in Comedy
Question: What happens when four comedians join forces to snowboard during the day and perform comedy acts in the evening?
Answer: The Snowed In Comedy Tour.
For one evening only, top comedians like Phil Nichol, Dan Quinn, Craig Campbell and Peter Kelamis will be in Mission on Feb. 11 at 8 p.m.
Nichol has been seen on the BBC (British Broadcasting Company) and Mad TV. Quinn is a past winner of the Just For Laughs Canadian Comedy Competition and has been seen regularly on CTV. Campbell has experienced great success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as Just For Laughs and on CTV. Kelamis has won several awards and is a regular on Just For Laughs and on Stargate Universe.
Together these four will whip the audience into a frenzy of laughter and they have received rave reviews throughout their tour.
Most of their B.C. dates have sold out leaving the Clarke Theatre as one of the last places to pick up a great evening of entertainment this winter. Tickets are on sale at the Clarke Theatre box office and at Jazz Ma Tazz in Abbotsford and in Maple Ridge. Call 604-820-3961 for further details.
