Fraser Valley Academy of Dance (FVAD) is featuring a fundraising performance of Raising the Barre - A Celebration of Ballet this Saturday, May 14 at the Clarke Theatre.
The show will be performed by more than 25 of the school’s senior students in contemporary and classical ballet pieces.
The school is raising money to expand its studio, currently located on First Avenue in the historic Masonic Hall.
“This expansion is happening just in time as our school is still growing at 300 students, and has outgrown our current two studios,” explained Carolyne Carney, FVAD administrator.
In addition to the performance at 3 p.m., there will also be a silent auction at 2 p.m. Tickets to the show are $20 each, and $10 for children 12 and under.
