The Twilight Concert Series continues on Friday night (July 19th) with a performance by the Nikki Werner Band, a Twilight favourite.

The concert gets underway at 7 p.m. in Fraser River Heritage Park.

The Nikki Werner Band hails from the Fraser Valley and is a four-time B.C. Country award nominee.

The group’s repertoire covers the standards of Emmy Lou Harris and Don Williams to the sounds of Faith Hill and Martina McBride. Their musicianship is indisputable and the concerts are always a high energy, feel good experience.

On Wednesday, July 24, the Mission Folk Music Festival Preview Night takes place.

A tradition for the Wednesday before one of Mission’s most beloved festivals, this year the Twilight and Folk Festival team up to present Leaf Rapids.

Mining their collective family histories has been a labour of love for Kari and Devin Latimer (formerly of Nathan). All those stories come together on Citizen Alien, the latest album from the Winnipeg folk duo.

Leaf Rapids has created a new world from the old, delving into the intimate truths told by voices from decades long gone.

The concerts are sponsored by Prospera Credit Union, and are a great free family summer outing. They continue every Wednesday and Friday until August 30. All concerts start at 7 p.m.
