Young piano artists are now being sought to perform next year with the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra.
Concert pianist Clinton Giovanni Denoni and CSO Maestra Paula DeWit are excited to announce plans and audition dates for the 2024 Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra’s (CSO) ‘Piano Extravaganza.’
Applications for in-person auditions in Vancouver, Langley and Chilliwack are set to close on June 10.
Conductor DeWit and concert pianist Denoni are on a mission this month to find the most talented young artists B.C. and feature these “brilliant pianists” in the two concerts of the 2024 Piano Extravaganza.
The first concert is slated for May 17, 2024, at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre and the second, on May 24, 2024, in Vancouver’s Christ Church Cathedral.
In-person auditions will be conducted on June 17, 2023 in Vancouver at Mastery School of Music beginning at 9 a.m., the VSO School of Music starting at 2 p.m., in Langley at the Langley Community School of Music beginning at 5 p.m., and on June 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.

The annual concerts that make up the Piano Extravaganza offer emerging pianists an opportunity to perform as a soloist with a professional orchestra.
“Your experience will include a performance with the CSO that will also be professionally recorded and masterclass with Clinton Giovanni Denoni,” the CSO release said.
