RCMP looking for woman connected to incident that killed a 75-year-old

A woman frequently seen in Maple Ridge and Mission is currently being sought by Burnaby RCMP in relation to an incident that resulted in the death of a 75-year-old pedestrian.

The woman is 25-year-old Jena Dae, who now has a warrant for her arrest after Dae failed to show up in court, explained Burnaby RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Michael Kalanj.

The collision originally occurred on Sept. 16, 2021, when a blue 2020 Honda Civic hit and killed a 75-year-old in a crosswalk at Kincaid Street and Smith Avenue in Burnaby.

Dae, who drives a blue 2020 Honda Civic with the B.C. license plate LV362M, is 5’2” tall with brown hair, brown eyes, and a slender build.

“Dae is known to frequent the Maple Ridge and Mission areas, however, has also recently been known to visit Northern B.C.,” said Cpl. Kalanj.
