Mission’s next school board is going to have a very familiar look.

Four of the five members are incumbents, with only one newcomer on the board.

Incumbent Tracy Loffler led the way with 4931 votes, followed by Randy Cairns with 4849 and Rick McKamey with 4298.

Newcomer Julia Renkema finished in fourth spot with 4279 to beat out challenger Doug McNeill, who failed to win a seat on the board, with 4006 votes.

The fifth spot on the Mission School board goes to another incumbent, Shelley Carter, who appears to have defeated Earl Babich for the Fraser Valley Regional District’s rural trustee seat.

Carter has been declared the winner, although official numbers are not yet available from the FVRD.

Official results are not confirmed until Oct. 24.
