Two elementary students hoping to help out the community by organizing a drive-by art show, were able to raise over $2,000 for Archway Community Service’s food bank.

Kiera and Taya, students at Abbotsford’s Mountain Elementary, planned and prepared the event through a series of Facetime meetings, while the adults organized a GoFundMe running parallel to the show.

“We are so happy to get the support from our school, and we are excited to see how much we can raise as we come together to help those in need,” the girls said.

Their initial goal was to raise $100. Staff at the school donated almost $500, and a few hours later, the girls brought in over $1,600 from community donations for a total of $2,120.
