Are you a senior, or do you have a parent or grandparent who are seniors? Would you like to contribute support toward the municipality providing a seniors activity centre for the enjoyment of your family?
The newly formed Elder Citizens Action Coalition works for seniors’ rights, starting with establishing a centre solely for seniors’ use in Mission, said founder George Evens.
The group will represent the 10,000-plus individuals in Mission over 50 years old to give them a united voice. The coalition advocates converting the community activity centre at 10 Avenue and Taulbut Street into a seniors’ centre available for that segment of the population’s use seven days a week, 24-hours a day.
