Open houses planned to discuss Mission's new OCP

The public is invited to join in the process of reviewing the draft of Mission’s Official Community Plan and find out how this document will help shape the future of Mission.

According to the district’s website, public feedback on the draft is “important to planning for parks, roads, housing types and locations, recreation, community and health services, business and industry as well as bringing together the vision we share as members of this community.”

Several open houses to discuss the plan have been scheduled. The first is set for Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Heritage Park cafeteria (33700 Prentis Ave.) Presentations take place  at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Other meeting include:

  • Silverdale Neighbourhood Meeting,  Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Silverdale Elementary (29715 Donatelli Ave.)
  • Steelhead Neighbourhood Meeting, Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Steelhead Community Hall (32972 Cardinal St.)
  • Stave Falls Neighbourhood Meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Firehall #2 (30514 Dewdney Trunk Rd.)
