Power has been restored to thousands of BC Hydro customers who lost their service Wednesday morning.
More than 16,000 people in the eastern Fraser Valley – primarily in Mission and Agassiz, but also in Abbotsford and Chilliwack – lost power.
Lights went dark at 6:45 a.m., but power was restored to the large block of residences just after 8 a.m. A transmission circuit issue has been reported as the problem. Crews believe a crow contacted the equipment and caused the outage.
