Students and teacher at Albert McMahon Elementary School are being evacuated due to the concern of a possible gas leak.

Mission School Superintendent Angus Wilson said a “mechanical and gas issue” has forced the school evacuation.

Because of the cold weather, the students are now at the Cedar Valley Church, 32860 Cherry Ave., across the street from the school.

“Some of the students are being bussed home and others are contacting parents to pick them up,” said Wilson.

Parents are asked to pick up their children from the church.
