Mission RCMP are also warning the public about a fraudster active in the area, targeting elderly victims.

Mission RCMP have received several reports of a man who has been approaching elderly Mission residents in the street and defrauding them of cash. The suspect approached each of the victims and offered to sell them a quantity of fish for about $70.

The suspect took the cash and never returned to provide any fish as promised.

Only a limited description is available.  The suspect is described as a Native male who goes by the first name of Daryl and has tattoos.

Police would like to remind the public to exercise caution and common sense when they are solicited by persons on the street.

Anyone with information on either scam is asked to contact the Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161. If you wish to remain anonymous please call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
