The Abbotsford Police Department says a fully-loaded dumptruck struck the No. 3 Road overpass at approximately 5:20 a.m. on Monday. The driver lost control of the truck after its front-side tire blew, resulting in a collision with the overpass support posts.
The truck immediately burst into flames but the driver is not injured and the fire was later extinguished.
In Langley, it appeared a flatbed semi truck failed to clear the overpass, knocking a large industrial apparatus on to the road and snapping the trailer.
According to Drive BC, the highway opened at both No. 3 Road and 264th Street at approximately 1 p.m but delays were still expected due to congestion.
