Voters will get an opportunity to listen to candidates vying in the municipal election in two all-candidates meetings hosted by the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The first meeting for council hopefuls takes place Tuesday, Sept. 27. The second is for mayoral candidates and is on Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Both meetings run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Clarke Foundation Theatre (33700 Prentis Ave.).

“We are very pleased to contribute to the democratic process by providing a non-partisan forum for voters to educate themselves on each candidate’s position,” said Manny Deol, moderator and president of the Mission Chamber of Commerce.

“We provide this public service to the community so that everyone can learn about the key election issues and familiarize themselves with who’s running.”

Questions posed to the candidates will be a combination of those submitted online to the chamber, and candidates will not know the questions beforehand.

Questions for the candidates can be emailed by 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 to executive director Jesse Sidhu at execdir@missionchamber.bc.ca.
