Barbara Mary Heptonstall passed away peacefully on July 31, 2018 at age 88 years.
She was predeceased by her brother George Cox Heptonstall and is survived by her brother Jack (John Dale Heptonstall) as well many cousins in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Barbara was very involved with her community of Hatzic Prairie, loved square dancing, gardening and riding horses. She graduated from St. Paul's Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for several years at Mission Memorial Hospital, before moving home to care for her ailing mother. After her mother passed away, Barbara helped her brother Jack look after the family farm and home for many years.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr Parin Patel and the many caregivers and nurses who gave Barbara such loving care and allowed her to stay in her own home for so long.
