He leaves behind daughters Carol Evans, Sharon Kelly (Dan), grandchildren James Evans (Tina), Lisa Smallenberg (Mark), son-in-law Sheldon Regnier , Cameron Kelly, Joelle Melnyk (Nick), 10 great grandchildren. Preceded by his loving wife Elaine of 56 years, his granddaughter Laurie Regnier, and his son-in-law Larry Evans. Albert was the last surviving member of his family.
He lived a full and happy life. He worked on many tugboats and ships up and down the BC coast and the Fraser River. Albert enjoyed a long retirement. He was most happy tending his huge garden (nobody left without a bag of veggies). He loved working in his sawmill where he made beautiful mantles. He enjoyed restoring his 67 Ford truck. He was active with the Jubilee Community Hall. He enjoyed his Friday night dinners at the Anavets with many friends. Albert was well known as a local historian. He donated many antiques to local museums. Right up to the end his mind was like a steel trap. He will be very missed by his family!!
