Dec 19, 1929 - Apr 12, 2018
Charles Lawrence "Larry" Crouch was born in Winnipeg, MB on December 19, 1929. He was the eighth child in a family of fifteen, born to Charles Henry and Lizzie Crouch. He passed away peacefully, with his children by his side on April 12, 2018 at the age of 88 years.

Larry was predeceased by his wife, Mary; and three brothers and six sisters. He will be sadly missed by his children, Vernon Crouch, Donalda Crouch and Teresa (Albert) Klimmer; granddaughter, Jennifer; two brothers and three sisters as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Larry was community minded and volunteered at the Silverdale Hall for many years. He was involved in the construction of the hall and enjoyed many of the events that were held there. He was also proudly active in the IWA and worked as a shingle sawyer until his retirement in 1995.

He played hockey, baseball and curling and enjoyed watching these and other sports on TV. Larry was an avid New York Yankees fan since he "was knee high to a grasshopper" as he told us. He liked having a vegetable garden and fixing old lawnmowers and other small equipment in his garage in Silverdale.

There will be a celebration of life for Larry at the Silverdale Hall, 8760 McLean Street, Mission beginning at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, the Cancer Society or to Mission Hospice Society.
