November 16, 1950 - October 24, 2018
David Joseph La Croix, was born on November 16, 1950 in Mission, BC to Alvina (nee Mosier) and Joseph La Croix. He passed away on October 24, 2018 at his home in Burnaby, BC. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Carol, son Andrew, sister Patsy, daughter-in-law Alison, dog Chewy, and a large extended family. David was looking forward to becoming a grandfather in the New Year.

David grew up in Mission, and in 1967 moved to Burnaby to attend Simon Fraser University where he graduated in 1973. He married Carol (nee Gunderson) in 1977, and in 1984 they started a family. His family was his life, his greatest achievement, and he was very proud of them.

David was an avid story teller, he would strike up a conversation with anyone and before you knew it he would befriend them. He took great passion in his hobbies including collecting coins, pins, and "treasures". Through the years David was a soccer coach, a scout leader, and volunteered with the elderly. He enjoyed the social and community involvement. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humour, love of animals, and empathy for those less fortunate them him.

The family will hold a celebration of his life for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association (https://cmha.ca).
