On December 5, 2020 Dave passed into the presence of his Lord in Abbotsford BC.
Born near Altona MB, Dave grew up in Kane MB where he met his wife Liddy Groening. They were married on December 26, 1941. In 1942 he enlisted in the army and served overseas in Italy and throughout Europe. At the end of the war he returned to Kane and took up farming. In 1975 they moved to Winkler where he finished his high school education and became a licensed Realtor. Liddy passed away in 1977.
In 1981 he married Margaret (Wiebe) from BC. They lived in MB until retirement in 1987 when they moved to Vernon BC. In 2006 they moved to Abbotsford. Margaret passed away in 2013.
Dave was a School Trustee and was actively involved in church activities, The Gideons International, and served with missions in Belize, Swaziland and Mexico. He left us with a strong legacy of faith in the Lord which he modelled in all aspects of his life.
Dave is survived by his children: Myra (Gary) Meyer; Josey (John) McIntosh; and his stepchildren: Bev (Bob) Primeau; Randy (Eva) Wiebe; Deb Wirth (Corey); Terry (Laura) Wiebe as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by Brad Wiebe in 2005.
Interment will be held at the Rose Farm cemetery MB at a later date.
