With sadness, the family of Dolores Hagerty of Mission, BC, announce her peaceful passing on February 3, 2021. Dolores was 89 years old. She was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.
Dolores worked at the North Battleford Saskatchewan Telephone office; The Fraser Valley Record and The Mission Museum. She also taught genealogy at Fraser Valley College and was a founding member of the "Mission Genealogy Club".
She had many interests including family, genealogy, crocheting and gardening.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Rosalie (John) Turcotte, Michael (Jackie) Hagerty, Michelle (Len) Kelly, Patrick (Jackie) Hagerty, grandchildren; David (Laurel), Danielle (Pat), Ali (Kristian), Brian, Jarrett, Kirsten, Renee (Grant), James (Eryn), Rachel, Rebecca, Mark, Jesse and great grandchildren; Hudson, Addie, Mikayla, Paige, Deklyn, Remyah, Beth, Jordan, Shayla and Jorden.
She will also be missed by her loving brother Jerry (Jeanne) Manegre and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by Jack Hagerty, her parents Jack and Lucienne Manegre, brother Albert Manegre and grandchildren Kenneth Turcotte, Griffin Hagerty, and Shaun Turcotte.
A private family service will be held at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home on February 19th, 2021 at 12:00 pm. All others are encouraged to join by livestreaming at https://www.legacystreaming.com/dignity-mission/.
The family would like to give thanks to those special people who helped her stay in her beloved home until her last days. Those exceptional people include her brothers Albert and then Jerry for their daily phone calls; Betty Rochon for all the shopping trips; Aaron Grant for his cheerful help with house cleaning and errands; neighbor Sheryl Mitchell, and the Fraser Health Home Support Workers (above and beyond to Liz for always giving her a smile).
Dolores, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma was a very special person and will be missed by many and never forgotten. Rest in Peace.
