It is with a heavy heart, that we announce the passing of Donald Kees Wylie SR. He passed peacefully in his sleep on November 20th, 2019. The same day as his wife, 23 years ago. Both his children at his side.
Don is predeceased by his parents, Amethyst and Charles, his sister Kay, and his wife Margaret. He is survived by his children Don (Carla) and Barbara Jean, his grandchildren Katie (Colin), Troy (Jenn), Devin, Shanaya (Zac), Tiara (Chad), his great grandchildren, Abigail, Emily and Jaxon, his brothers and sisters in Ontario, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Don was born in Montreal then moved with his family to Ontario. As a young man he had many business ideas, one of which evolved into Wylie Autoparts, that is still there today! He also started up a pet store! He met his wife Mardy, started a family and gradually made the move to BC. He continued to his entrepreneurship lifestyle by owning/operating a fish and chip shop, and starting a driving school, where he met and taught a vast amount of residents throughout the Fraser Valley.
Don's sarcastic but always knowledgeable comments and remarks will be missed. His adventurous life experiences and wild stories will forever be remembered and treasured by all of those who knew him.
Funeral Service, Saturday, January 11, 2020, 1 - 4 pm at Bakerview Community Crematorium & Celebration Centre, 34863 Cemetery Ave., Mission.
