Douglas Hood of Mission passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2011. Born in 1920 he lived in Mission all his life, as a husband, a father, a teacher and a lover of humanity. He is predeceased by his loving wife Gladys and leaves behind his two sons John and Donald, a bother Stuart, a niece Verna as well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many friends in Mission and at Carrington House. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and were touched by his gentle soul. A celebration of life will be held at the Best Western Hotel on Lougheed Hwy in Mission, Saturday April 30th at 1:00pm. “If you stop you might not get going again.” – Douglas Hood.
