With sadness, the family of Elizabeth Rickert (née Gardner) announce that she passed away after a long battle with kidney disease on February 16, 2024 at Abbotsford
Regional Hospital at the age of 71.
She was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to Canada in 1987, and then to Mission, BC in 1992.
Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard Rickert, her daughters Karen Foote (Allen), Louise Poirier-Moreau (Guillaume) and Claire Thomas from her marriage to William Thomas, her step-daughters Gina Rickert (Joel Epp) and Niki Rickert (Luciano Di Nobile), as well as her 4 grandchildren.
She is also survived by her mother, Elizabeth Gardner of Glasgow, Scotland, her brother Peter Gardner (Linda) of Hampshire, England and her aunt, Sarah Campbell of Calgary, Alberta.
If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to any charity that supports animals or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
