MACHELL, Franklin Dumon
of Charlie Lake BC passed away suddenly Nov.27, 2010, while living his dreams, and vacationing in Hawaii. Born Nov.2, 1938 in Mission BC, "Frankie" was well known for his sense of humour, stories and inventive spirit, a legacy being carried on by his five children, Sandra (Wayne) Materi of Edmonton, Shelley (Ron) Hunter of Spruce Lake SK, Steve (Tina) Machell of Grande Prairie, Kellie Machell, Kim (Tom) Engman of Edmonton, and 8 beautiful grand- children. Among other things, he spent years in the logging industry, as heavy duty mechanic, welder, and always had a number of creative projects on the go. Frank is predeceased by his parents, Frank "Pop" and Aline "Linette" Machell, and four brothers, Eugene "Genot" (Joyce), Harry, Robert "Bob" (Beatrice), and Nelson "Nelo". In keeping with Frank's love of the ocean, world-travel and his newest pet project, a sailboat, his ashes have been scattered at sea at the City of Refuge in Kona, Hawaii.
Aloha and happy trails to you, Dad.
In lieu of flowers, his children encourage donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. They will announce an informal Celebration of Life get-together in the New Year, or you can email us for info at: infofmachell@gmail.com.
