Gerald (Gerry) Desmond Taylor Russell went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2024, in Abbotsford, BC. He was born in Winnipeg on November 2, 1929.
He is pre-deceased by his three older siblings (Mary, John (Jack), and Ron) and his first wife, Darlene.
He worked for CN Rail from 1949 to 1990. In 1972, Gerry married Mary Ann Krahn.
He loved volunteering and did so at church, music events, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Red Cross, and the Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
Gerry is survived by his wife Mary Ann, daughters Sharon (Glenn Bowles) and Heather (Calvin Dyck), 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A private service was held in January.
