Janice Neville

April 29, 1944 - August 12, 2023
Janice Ann Neville was a sister, mother, grandmother, and special friend to many. She passed away peacefully at the age of 79 from cancer in the Christine Morrison Hospice early morning on August 12, 2023.
Janice was a spiritual person and attended Gateway CRC for the last 12 years. One of the most significant and meaningful days of her life was when she made her profession of faith to her Lord in May of 1984 at St. Paul's Presbyterian church in Mission.
Janice enjoyed the commitment of being a Girl Guide leader, and a member of the "Hearty Gang" (a Sr. ladies group she took out for picnic drives). She enjoyed knitting patchwork blankets and for the last decade had donated them to the women's shelters. Janice also enjoyed travelling North America which included road trips to the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Manitoba, and an Alaskan cruise. She was an avid photographer, and her camera came with her everywhere.
Throughout her life she dealt with many serious complicated health issues such as scleroderma, heart complications and cancer, twice. On this journey she felt very blessed to be helped by all medical personnel, friends, and family. She always walked with the strength and courage of the Lord. Her motto was "Thus far the Lord has carried me."
She leaves behind two daughters - Jennifer (Hanz Kempa) and Caroline (Michael Stewart) as well as three granddaughters Avery, Olivia & Katelyn Stewart, and many valued dear friends.
Janice's Celebration of Life will be held at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford) on Tues, Aug 29, 2023. A viewing will be held at 10 am followed by a 11am service and reception.

A special thanks to the many doctors and nursing staff that supported Janice over the last 34 years, and to the staff at Christine Morrison Hospice who so respectfully and lovingly cared for her in her final days.
